Ingrid Alvarez is a visual artist and arts educator with a versatile skill set in studio arts, especially drawing and painting. Ingrid received her Bachelor of Art degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts from the University of Washington's School of Art, and earned a certificate in Multimedia Design & Production. She began teaching children in 2009 at a Brooklyn arts organization, and with after-school and summer programs at public and private schools in Brooklyn and Manhattan. As a lifelong student of the arts, Ingrid began studying at Art Lab in 2013 after relocating to Staten Island, and participated in the Summer Studio Scholarship Program when she fell in love with plein air painting. Her art work has been collected in the U.S. and shown in Seattle, New York, and California. Ingrid also enjoys making custom art, face painting and live painting for special events.
