Camera-less Photography, the Photogram
Kevyn Fairchild

413.9 | Sun, 1:30 – 3:30 PM | Room D
Begins 8/11, 8/18, 8/25| $179 | 3 weeks

Popularized by Man Ray, the photogram (or Rayograph as he called them) is an alternative photographic process that creates a photograph without the use of a camera or a lens. Instead, artists can place objects directly onto sensitized paper to create the image. Unlike some of the other camera-less processes (cyanotypes) this process produces a true black and white image and can only be done in a traditional darkroom.

This is a great workshop for non-lens based artists who may be interested in learning a new way to create new work without having to navigate the technical aspects of photography. This class will meet for three weeks, and students can expect to create three to five finished works.

A $20 registration fee will be applied to your total.
