Connie Frisch-Cherniak
Connie J. Frisch-Cherniak is originally from Virginia, Minnesota and lives in Staten Island, New York. She received her B.S. degree in Visual Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; studied at New York University in the MA program in Painting and received a M.F.A. from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University in Painting, Drawing and Photography. She is an Adjunct Full Professor of Art at St. John’s University in Staten Island teaching studio courses, core course in art, music and theatre as well as art history. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh-Online, teaching drawing and painting. Her work consists of mixed media drawings and paintings, traditional and manipulated photography as well as installations. She is a member of the Creative Photographers Guild (CPG Gallery). She shows in galleries and museums in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
