 CALL TO ARTISTS

Below are the specifications for those interested in showing in Art Lab’s gallery space. The gallery committee typically meets twice a year in the spring and fall on a needs basis to fill our calendar of shows; but we accept proposals all year round. Please send proposals ATTENTION GALLERY COMMITTEE.

Art Lab is dedicated to providing opportunities for small exhibitions of the work of students, emerging artists, established artists and community groups. Although open to any suggestions, the school is particularly interested in showing work that pertains to the classes offered and can therefore be used to supplement classroom activities. It will also consider less traditional media and approaches. The gallery contains about 75 running feet of wall space and a good lighting system. Interested artists should send a written proposal or exhibition idea with digital file submission, resume(s) and any special requirements to info@artlabsi.org or Art Lab, Inc., 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301. Attention: Gallery Committee.

If you are submitting digital files, please see following specifications. READ CAREFULLY. Files that the gallery committee is unable to review will result in proposal being denied.

Digital Submission Criteria:

1. File must be a JPEG file. No other visual file format will be accepted.
2. Dimensions of image: 720 pixels= 72 dpi resolution
3. Image must be RGB – Grayscale or CMYK will not be accepted.
