Begins April 10 | $236 | 6 weeks

This is an exciting painting course in which you will learn to paint in a classical traditional technique and a more modern one. I will give a brief lecture on art for the first 25 minutes of each class on the Western Tradition, Early Renaissance, High Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Impressionism. The first three classes will start with this brief lecture and will be followed by painting a still life, or from a traditional photo of a painting in a traditional method. The second 3 weeks will also begin with a brief lectured followed by painting in the Contemporary way of the Impressionists. We will study the love of Color and Light in different traditions and notice the effects of each technique. You will understand how society influences art and the way we see things. By the end of class, you will understand different painting methods and decide on which you would like to work through your artistic journey!

Dates: April 10th, 17th, 24th, May 1st, May 15th and May 22nd.

***There is no class on May 8th***
