This workshop is designed for participants to explore their creative side through the art of collage. Participants will learn how to create expressive collages using texture, shapes, colors, and patterns, with a focus on storytelling, personal expression, and artistic exploration. This course covers various tools, techniques, and sources available for making surreal, editorial, decorative, and traditional collage works.
We will learn the fundamentals of collage as an art form using found and created imagery. We will explore composition, layering and mixed media techniques as well as connect collage with historical and contemporary art movements. Through guided projects and personal exploration, participants will gain confidence in their artistic abilities and develop meaningful works of art.
This class meets once a week for 4 weeks.
A $20 registration fee will be applied to your total.
