Embark on an exciting journey into the world of comic book creation! This class covers all the essential skills needed to have students bring their stories and characters to life, including anatomy, perspective, character design, and storytelling. Students will learn how to draw dynamic figures with accurate proportions, craft expressive faces to convey emotion, and design memorable characters that captivate their target audience.
As students work through the comic creation process, they’ll develop their unique narrative ideas into a comic of their own. From sketching out rough concepts to inking and refining final pages, they’ll gain hands-on experience in every step of production. Whether their goal is to create a personal project, build a portfolio, or simply explore a new art form, this class will provide the skills and inspiration to have students tell their story through comics.
Ages 9 through 12.
This class meets once a week for 10 weeks.
