Draw Bridge: From Still Life to Life Drawing

This course is designed to teach any student the rudimentary components for realistic drawing. Emphasis on observational drawing will include free-hand drawing from still life setups. Students will learn how to measure by sight and one class will be devoted to the basic principles of perspective. The course will explore drawing materials such as vine charcoal, charcoal pencils and working in pencil on various grades and types of paper. The subject matter will begin with simple set ups, still lifes and will progress to working from live models for the last 3 weeks. We will be working with a clothed model and if the students wish, from a nude model.
