The first session will introduce the materials needed and basic set up to paint outdoors. The instructor will review how to compose a painting using a viewfinder to assist in designing and scaling the subject matter. Basic drawing skills are a prerequisite so one can focus on learning color mixing on site to capture natural light and shadows. Students will have the experience of working outdoors with the instructor, asking questions and developing a painting created on location.
