Begins April 8 | $375 | 10 Weeks
In this 10-week hands-on fiber arts course, participants explore crochet and fabric collage as gentle, tactile pathways for healing and honoring memory. Working with yarn, thread, fabric, and found textiles, students engage in slow, repetitive making that mirrors the natural rhythms of mourning. The first half of the course introduces foundational crochet techniques, where the act of looping and building becomes a metaphor for continuity, care, and self-soothing. The second half shifts into fabric collage and quilt-inspired assemblage, transforming personal materials, clothing, and textiles into meaningful memory pieces.
No prior fiber experience is necessary. This course emphasizes process over product, reflection over perfection, and making as a form of ritual. Through guided prompts, storytelling, and supportive community conversation, students will create personal fiber works that hold stories, honor love and healing, and offer a tangible way to “mourn on purpose.”
This class meets once a week for 10 weeks.
A $20 Registration fee will be applied to the total.
