She holds a BFA from Binghamton University in Drawing, Printmaking and Photography, and an MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts. She spends most of her time working with teenagers in a NYC public school, while also being a Wife/Mom. In 2018, she began training as an End-Of-Life Doula which has led to a Grief Companion/Doula Certification from Colorado State University through the Center for Loss and Life Transition, mentoring under Alan Wolfelt. She currently hosts Art.Heals.Grief Gatherings 4 times a year as day long retreats exploring art or movement modalities. What matters most to Adrienne is that you have access to healing from loss and live a life with which you are madly in love.

We’ll dive into the rich history of the art form, from 10th-century Japan's calligraphic assemblages to revolutionary movements like Dada and look at how modern artists continue to push the boundaries with divergent materials. In this class, you'll not only learn to create expressive collages using texture, shapes, colors, and patterns, but also discover how collage can be a powerful tool for storytelling and personal expression. We’ll cover essential tools and techniques, including how to mix media and work with found and created imagery. Through a blend of guided projects and personal exploration, we’ll focus on composition, layering, and crafting unique works that reflect both your voice and artistic vision. But we won’t stop there. These fundamental tools of design will strengthen your skills towards creating expansive space demonstrating strong three-dimensional forms in your compositions. Portrait drawing and landscape drawing are also subject options. For those students who are painters, this workshop will inform and strengthen your work.
