The goal of this class is to strengthen the students ability to not only draw better, but also fully understand the concepts behind what makes a successful drawing. Perspective, shading, composition, proportion, are crucial tools to a successful draftsperson. Together we will demystify the secrets of the old masters and their drawing techniques.This class meets once a week for 8 weeks.A $20 registration fee will be added to your total. - Practice Makes Perfect! 10 weeks of studio time with a live model - details below.The classroom monitor will manage model poses and break sessions. Poses lengths will vary. Typically, the evening will begin with shorter poses and pose length will increase throughout the session.
- Still-Life Drawing, Portrait, & Landscape Griselda Healy112.1 | Mon 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Room B Begins: July 6th | $213 | 4 weeksThe class will concentrate on still life, observing and drawing different objects, creating the illusion of three-dimensional forms using paper and pencil. Value relationships, shape relationships, line quality and perspective will be demonstrated and discussed. These fundamental tools of design will strengthen your skills towards creating expansive space demonstrating strong three-dimensional forms in your compositions. Portrait drawing and landscape drawing are also subject options. For those students who are painters, this workshop will inform and strengthen your work.
