    Linda Butti
    126.0 | Thu, 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Room F
    Begins April 9 | $236 | 6 weeks
Color painting from an Impressionist point of view:
This class will emphasize color theory from an impressionist point of view using oils or acrylics.  The impressionists used fresh bright colors using the color wheel to mix opposite tones to get the desired effect, rather than using browns or blacks. Their colors are lively and bright and very tonal. We will work the aspects of painting- depth, space and form from color mixtures emphasizing complementary color mixtures.
Students can work with any images that they prefer, and Linda will help each student get the desired effect that they want from their work. Students will learn composition, application of color principles in describing what each student wants to express in their painting. Linda will concentrate on what each student wants to express and will help each student get there!
Linda will concentrate on teaching Impressionist approaches, but students may use traditional approaches as well and Linda will fully explain both. Linda will teach theory through some power points occasionally, where the class will look at master paintings, their approaches, and ideas.
This class meets once a week for 6 weeks.
There is a $20 registration fee applied to the total.
