  • Materials Required for Class:
    1. Pads: 2 drawing pads sizes:  9 x 12 and 18 x 24 
    2. Pencils: b pencils;  2b  6b  8b  or any b pencils you have.
    3. Erasers: kneaded eraser and non-kneaded
    4. Sharpeners: a small utility knife or single edged razor
    5. One regular size stump
    6. One 12 inch ruler
    7. Charcoal sticks:  medium is okay. Do not bring vine charcoal.
     
  • Supplies Recommended:
    -Prismacolor (wax based) pencils set of 48 or 72
    - Small set of drawing pencils
    - Retractable plastic eraser (Staedtler)
    - Handheld doulble hole pencil sharpener (Prismacolor)
    - Toned paper pad 9×12 or larger such as Canson Mi-Teintes pastel pad.
    - Reference materials such as photos of what you would like to draw.

  • Griselda Lessard Healy grew up in St. James, Long Island, New York. There she studied still-life and landscape painting with Paul Russotto before moving to Europe and later Canada, where she studied and worked primarily as a musician while never letting her painting work fall far from hand and mind.   • Supplies you will need for this class:Brushes (do NOT purchase a set, buy individual brushes):  # 8, #6, #4, #2 and #0 flat plus #4 filbert  Paints, (do NOT purchase a set, buy individual tubes): Titanium white, (large) - Ivory black - cadmium red medium - cadmium lemon yellow, yellow ochre  Ultra-marine blue - thalo blue - burnt umber - Alizarin crimson - thalo green Rags: Bring a small rag. Cotton rags are the best. Old sweat socks, sweat pants, pajamas. Paper towel: bring a roll of paper towels.  Viva or cheap brands work best because they don’t shed. 1. A small bottle of Linseed oil. 2. Odorless paint thinner, at least a pint. Must be artist grade. The odorless thinners from Home Depot and hardware stores are NOT acceptable alternatives. 3. A palette pad and small palette knife 4. A canvas pad (100% cotton canvas, not paper) or canvas boards/stretched canvas. Sizes: 9x12" or 12x16" 5. A medium size metal or glass jar with a cover 6. 1" wide roll of masking tape.If you have painted before, bring samples to show, either originals or on phone.This class meets once a week for 10 weeks.
